Day 3 Old Town and Mormon Battalion

Day 3
Trip to San Diego It has been so much fun. Today we went to Old Town To see the new visitors center for the Mormon Battalion. It was so cool I have to admit that on the way over there it didn't sound like any fun at all! but I kept an open mind, and I am glad that i did it was so much fun. When you first walk in and took a seat on the wood bench you are looking at like 9 pictures in frames hanging on the wall and once the tour started the pictures started to talk it looked so real. and you fallowed the story from room to room. Hard to explain I guess you will have to go and see for yourself! the girls favorite part was at the end where they have a place for the kids to pan for gold they were super stoked like they were rolling in the dough!

It was finally time to head back to the hotel Stella was done she was so tired. We got into the car and I had Sophia's gold in my pocket so I handed it back to her. before I did I looked at it and said," i wonder if it is spray painted?" and then it went back to Sophia and it is silent for a moment and then she yells out,"WHAT ! its SPRAY PAINTED!!!!!!" She was not impressed at all.

Day 2 the Aquarium and Hodads

the Aquarium was so much fun they had little jelly fish, medium, and great big ones I loved it. the girls didn't want to leave the touch and feel part they had anemones that you could touch Sophia loved it when you touched them they latched on to your finger and gave you a little sting and then what ever part was touching your finger it closed up. That didn't stop Sophia from running around and finding everyone she could close up! Jake and Sicily and Sophia got to do a weather report (a fake one but we wont tell Jake that!) and Stella just wanted to jump of the stairs and climb anywhere she could.

For lunch we went to this burger joint on the beach called Hodads. It was off Diners Drive inns and Dives from the Food Network. That was a yummy place their onion ring were so good my mouth just watered! one of the tables in there was a the front part of a Slug bug. and they had a bar that opened out to the street you could sit at too! The line was so long to get in like around the corner long! so the girls ditched the boys and we walked across the street to a fun bead shop(y is it that I cant find any cool shops like that here in Vegas?) anyways Sicily found some cute elephant charms and Sophia got a cute panda bead. When we got home you would think that we would crash but oh no! It was off to the beach we go. (we don't waste any time.)

Day 1 Trip to San Diego Zoo

Well the day started at 3:00 A.M. Yep that's right 3:00 A.M. We got the girls up and pealed Jake and Natalie out of their bed and we were on our way. The girls were so excited I think they only slept for an hour out of the 5 and a half hour drive. We rolled into the zoo parking lot at about 9:30 it was so much fun Sicily's favorite part was the elephants of course, Sophia's favorite part was scouring the park for the machines that flatten out the pennies, and Stella I would have to say was playing on the stairs during the sea lion show! Super fun! It was a long day we left at closing time 5 o'clock.

It was nice to get back to the hotel We stayed on Coranado Island at La Avenida Inn. Not that we stayed there for very long we are only 1 block away from the ocean so it was off to the beach we go. It was cold and a storm was coming in so we stayed long enough for the girls to splash around in the water and for Stella to get knocked over by the waves, she was not happy. It felt so good to lay down on those comfy pillows I have never slept so good!!!
